If you’re planning on making a stop by Cider Hill Farm this October, let us get you there with ease. Whether you’re interested in our farm store, or pumpkin selection, or want to attend one of our events, we have got you covered with every answer you need.
When is the Farm Store Open?
Our walk-in farm store is the place to find baked goods, gifts, and other special treats and items. It is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm from late April through mid-December. Just within our store is where you can try our delicious apple cider donuts (a fall favorite), drink our sweet or hard cider (or get it to go), cross items off your grocery list, and taste some homemade kettle corn. We also offer an online store for those who can’t get to Cider Hill Farm right away or want to ship their goods to their friends or family. You can also find hot cider at the Drink Stand on the main lawn on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm. Our apple cider donuts are $10/dz while our sweet cider is $5.25 for a half gallon and $9 for a gallon.
How Can Visitors Travel Through the Farm?
Our farm is filled with endless orchards that offer varieties of fruit and flowers. We do provide hayrides on Saturdays and Sundays from September 10 through October 27, 2024. A hayride is free with the purchase of any picking container or $5 a person ages 3+. Hayrides are a great activity for families with children of all ages and for a group of friends looking to explore the beautiful scenery of Cider Hill Farm.
Where are the Pumpkins?
You can’t fully enjoy the haunting magic of October without carving or decorating pumpkins. At our outdoor market, you can choose between orange pumpkins and farmhouse gourds; our pumpkin prices start at $0.69/lb. We also offer a selection of mums, hay bales, corn husks, and scarecrows to get you right in the fall spirit; our mum prices start at $6.95+.
Are there Any Events at the Farm?
Cider Hill Farm hosts several events throughout the fall season. Our fall-specific events include Fall Fridays on the Farm, where each Friday until October 18 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, you can grab food from food trucks, purchase pumpkins from the farm store, and drink some cider (sweet or hard) while listening to music. On the weekends in October, we offer these same activities.
Take a look at our event list to find out about more events happening at Cider Hill Farm from pop-up food trucks, live music performances, and on-site pumpkin lettering.
Are there Family-Friendly Activities?
Bring your kids to Cider Hill Farm not only to eat delicious cider donuts but also to enjoy all of our fun farm activities suited for children. This month, join Cider Hill Farm for our monthly Sensory Group with The Nook & PLAY.BOSTON. Children 12 months to preschool age will try tactile exploration through the use of various fall-themed materials, textures, tools, and more.
Every day from 8 am to 6 pm, we offer our Barnyard and Trikes event where children can feed the chickens, visit with the goats, play in Farmer Glenn’s Trike Yard, climb the giant sandbox, and swing on horse-tire swings.
Just in time for Halloween, Cider Hill Farm hosts our very own Sweet Halloween. Families can dress up in their favorite costumes and take their children trick-or-treating on the farm every Saturday throughout October. Try out our different activities from free tractor rides, free costume competitions, a free Guess How Many contest, free live music, hot cider and snack bar, and food trucks.
