Plan a Group Outing at Cider Hill Farm

Both blueberry picking and apple picking are available for groups because picking for these 2 crops are available daily during their pick-your-own seasons. We do not offer group picking options for tulip, strawberry, raspberry, peaches or other pick-you-own experiences because of the short nature and/or ripeness changes of those fruits. However, ask us about adding a flower cutting experience to summer and early fall events.

Hayrides run on Saturdays and Sundays all fall and for all festival weekends. As a working farm, we do not run hayrides on weekdays. Based on the volume of farm guests we have on weekends, we are unable to block off single rides for groups. However, get your group together in line and our hayride team will work hard to keep you all together. Happy picking!

The farm has a large event tent with 10+ picnic tables plus the main lawn has dozens of tables, too! You are more than welcome to use these at no cost; however, this space is also open to all farm guests so we ask you to be mindful of only using 1-2 tables for an hour or so on weekends. We also offer the option to reserve a semi-private tent for 30 people up to 2 hours (not required).

Absolutely! Please do. We allow outside food and non-alcoholic beverages on our farm. Please take any large amounts of waste with you upon departure - pizza boxes, cake boxes etc. We do not allow ANY outside alcoholic beverages to be consumed on our property. We are unable to offer refrigeration or storage on the property so please plan accordingly.

You may opt to upgrade your package to include a cider donut for each person and during fall, a 6 oz cup of cider. Alternatively, pre-order cider donuts here for pick up on the day of your visit and then just grab gallons of cider in the farm store when you pick up your donuts at the registers. Easy! Don't forget to bring your own cups if you order this way.

We LOVE that you want to spend this special day with us! While we don't offer formal birthday party packages, we do offer blueberry and apple picking experiences for your group as well as the option to book a semi-private 30 person tent (not required). To book your pick-your-own experience, just reserve your picking containers and they will be ready for pick up and payment. You may adjust the number of bags upon arrival.

Each group booking slot is scheduled for 1.5 hours. However, this is just to give your group an estimate of time needed to go out picking. Please enjoy your time here! We encourage you to slow down and soak in all the goodness of being outdoors on the farm.

We've made it easy! Book your apple or blueberry picking experience here with a simple range of guest attendance. We will have additional picking containers available so you can just show up and know that your group is ready to pick even if you have more or fewer partiers than expected. Final payment will be required at the time of receiving your picking containers unless otherwise discussed with a farm manager.

Outdoor experiences on the farm are naturally susceptible to rain, wind and/or heat. Therefore, our events team, when confirming your event date via email will request a back-up rain/heat date. A decision to change dates may be made up until 24 hours in advance as we monitor the weather together with you.

We do not allocate any staff members to your party unless you book the semi-private event tent. When you arrive for your party, simply check into the information booth (or inside the farm store if the booth is closed that day). Your picking containers will be waiting. As always, our staff are available to answer any questions if needed. Enjoy the farm and your festivities!

When booking your outing, a 25% deposit is required. That deposit is 95% refundable up until 7 days prior. 5% of any refunds is retained to cover our processing fees. The deposit is non-refundable anytime 6 days prior to the event. In the case of severe/inclement weather, a refund may be possible. Otherwise, picking is rain or shine on the farm.
