As we welcome the summer season, let’s take a peek at pick-your-own events on the farm starting in June and July! From berries and flowers to peaches, you’ll find a variety of produce to choose from.
Berry Picking
Summer is peak season for the following berries at Cider Hill Farm: raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry.
Raspberry

Our raspberry picking season begins in early June through early July. The warm weather helps ripen these berries, making them delicious, fresh, and sweet in flavor.
Cherry Picking
These jewel-toned fruits are perfect for baking or just simply eating fresh off the bush. Our sweet and tart cherry season begins in June and ends in July. We have six cherry varieties, including fan favorites such as Rainier (late June to early July) and Montmorency (mid-July).
Blackberry
Our blackberry picking season begins in July and ends towards the end of August. As summer is peak season for these berries, it is a joy to harvest these fruits as their bushes produce clusters of berries. Plus, the summer sun helps concentrate the sugars in blackberries, making them sweet.
Blueberry
The blueberry picking season is one of the longest out of the berry bunch, starting in July and ending in September. Our three blueberry fields feature high-bush varieties that freeze well to store for baking pies, muffins, and jams. The farm has 11 different blueberry varieties for early-season, mid-season, and late-season picking.
Flower Cutting

Our farm’s cutting garden opens in early July and lasts until September, with operating hours on Tuesday to Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. Choose from zinnias, lisianthus, snapdragons, cosmos, amaranth, millet, carnations, marigolds, strawflowers, celosia, herbs, stock, dahlias, sunflowers, and coneflowers.
Peach Picking
Stroll through our 10 acres of peach orchards and explore our 20 different varieties of peaches. Our peach picking season begins in July, and each month (July, August, and September) brings new varieties.
On the weekends of August 9-10 and 16-17, catch the Peach & Sunflower Festival, where you can pick both flowers and peaches while enjoying live music, food trucks, and other fun activities. We recommend wearing shoes for your picking journey, as the walk to the orchards is 15 minutes with hills, and hayrides are only offered on the weekends of festivals.
What will you pick this summer season on the farm?
*Note: All pick-your-own events require a ticket that can be pre-purchased or purchased at the farm. Walk-ins are welcome. Strawberry picking lasts until the end of June.
