June is one of the sweetest times of year here at Cider Hill Farm. The fields are bursting with fresh strawberries, the barnyard animals are out enjoying the sunshine, and there’s something magical about days spent outdoors with family and friends. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or continuing a favorite tradition, here are 8 ways to make the most of June at Cider Hill Farm.

1. Pick Your Own Strawberries
Head to the fields for one of the farm’s most beloved early summer traditions. Fresh-picked strawberries are perfect for pies, shortcakes, smoothies, or simply eating by the handful. Cider Hill Farm's Strawberry Festival is June 13-14 & June 20-21.
2. Visit the Farm Animals
June’s warm weather makes it the perfect time to wander through the barnyard and visit with our chickens and goats. Purchase chicken feed in the farm store or bring a quarter for a handful. The barnyard is open daily 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
3. Enjoy Strawberry Shortcakes
Is there anything more heavenly than strawberry shortcakes? We think not. After picking fruit, visit Eleanor's Lunch Box open Tuesdays - Fridays 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM or Ellie's Snack Bar (open most weekends 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM for homemade strawberry shortcakes.

4. Take Home Fresh Local Produce
June marks the start of the growing season, and the farm stand begins filling up with crisp greens, herbs, strawberries, rhubarb, and other fresh-picked produce. It’s the perfect excuse to plan a farm-to-table dinner at home. Cider Hill's Farm Store is open daily 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

5. Sip Hard Cider with Free Live Music
Relax with friends and enjoy a glass of our own award-winning craft hard cider made on the farm while soaking in the scenic farm views. June weekends are ideal for unwinding outdoors with a refreshing seasonal pour. Enjoy free live music every weekend in June.
6. Attend a Special Farm Event
From live music and yoga to seasonal workshops and family activities, June often brings a calendar full of fun experiences including a free 50 minute complimentary class with Pure Barre Newburyport on June 6, a 21+ event Fire & Berries on June 18th to roast strawberries, sip berry cider and make strawberry shortcakes and a week-long Pollinator Festival June 22-28, Check the farm’s event schedule before your visit so you don’t miss out.
7. Let the Kids Explore the Play Areas
Cider Hill Farm is full of opportunities for little ones to run, climb, and play. Open spaces, kid-friendly attractions, and fresh air make it an easy family outing everyone can enjoy.

8. Experience Morning with the Raptors
Get up close with majestic birds of prey on Saturday, June 27th. Tailwinds: Raptor and Conservation Educators will be bringing live raptors to Cider Hill Farm sharing why these birds are so important to protecting our food supply. Families can attend the 9:30 am or 10:15 am session for a memorable educational experience. Free.
