About the Event
Book Synopsis: Willadeene’s farm is in the middle of nowhere and that’s how she likes it. One day, a man knocks on her door and offers to buy the farm. But she refuses. Soon, buildings rise up around her, and crowded streets with honking horns surround her. Still, she plants her vegetables and continues on until she grows old and her garden grows wild. She now fears she will be forced to sell the farm until another knock on the door brings a surprise.
Bio: Julie Koon is a children's book author, illustrator, and preschool teacher. Her books include THE STRUGGLE BUS, CITY FARM, and the upcoming BREATHE A RAINBOW.
