Cutting Garden Dates
The flower garden produces blooms all summer.
GENERAL DATES
Flower cutting starts in mid-July and is typically over by the first week of October.
WHERE TO BUY TICKETS
Cutting garden tickets may be purchased online 24- 72 hours in advance or upon arrival at the farm. View the TODAY page to see if picking is open prior to coming to the farm. The Summer Cutting Garden will be closed for maintenance on Mondays for the season.

Adult/Child Ticket - Includes entry into the field for up to 2 ppl and 1 mason jar of flower cutting. Max of 3 dahlias. $17+ tax.

Adult/Child Mini Jar - Includes entry into the field for 1 person. $8.50+ tax.
Anyone ages 3+ entering the fields requires a ticket even if you are not cutting flowers. Personal picking containers are prohibited. Pricing subject to change.

Growing Flowers
Our summer cutting garden is a labor of love from the very first seed. Across our greenhouses, thousands of plants are started by hand, nurtured carefully to ensure strong, healthy blooms. We grow over 25 different flower varieties, each with its own needs and rhythms, from soil preparation to care and watering.
By the time they reach the garden, these flowers have been shaped by months of hands-on attention, ready to burst into color and fragrance. Every bouquet you cut is the result of countless hours of planting, tending, and cultivating, bringing a little piece of our farm’s dedication to your jar.
Flower Cutting FAQs
As we prepare for this year’s harvest, here are some of the questions we’re asked most often.
FLOWER VARIETIES
Choose from a variety of a large, medium, small and filler flowers to make a stunning bouquet full of textures and colors. You'll find a variety of zinnias, lisianthus (think small roses!), snapdragons, cosmos, amaranth, millet, marigolds, basils, strawflowers, celosia, herbs, stock, dahlias, sunflowers and coneflowers.
IS THERE A PROPER WAY TO CUT FLOWERS?
Absolutely, there’s a right way to cut flowers in a cutting garden, and it makes all the difference for both the plant and your bouquet. Always use clean, sharp scissors or garden shears, and cut stems at an angle about 1–2 inches above a leaf node or side shoot. This encourages new growth and keeps the plant healthy for more blooms later. Remove any leaves that would sit below the water line in your vase. With a little care, each snip helps the plant thrive while giving you a longer-lasting, more beautiful arrangement.
ARE THERE ANY RULES for kiddos?
Little ones get so excited in the flower field and we LOVE how much they love to be surrounded by all the cool things. We do ask that our kiddos refrain from running, row hopping and handling flowers they don't plan on cutting. We do encourage lots of wonderful playtime on the main lawn and in the trike yard.
Weekday FLOWER CUTTING
We post tickets online 24-48 hours in advance as more flowers come in for best experience. The Summer Cutting Garden is closed on Mondays for maintenance. The best way to check our cut-your-own schedule for the week is to visit our TODAY page on Sunday evenings, where we'll post the upcoming week's availability and online tickets. Tickets are also available for purchase on the farm.
TYPICAL FLOWER CUTTING SEASON LENGTH
The garden will be open mid-July through September for fall flower cutting.

HAYRIDES
As a working farm, hayrides are available only on festival and fall weekends.
5 PASS HOLDERS
For our early bird 5 pass holders, please make sure to bring your pass with you to present upon arrival. Valid for jar bouquets. Lost cards are not able to be refilled. To purchase a 5 pass when you arrive, visit the Farm Store for details to see if they are available. Please note: The Summer Cutting Garden is closed on Mondays for maintenance.
PHOTOGRAPHERS & MINI SESSIONS
For those who wish to use the flower fields for personal or business use, tickets are required. If you are looking for a private experience, we encourage you to come at the end of the day closer to 3-4 pm when fewer people are in the field. Fields close promptly at 5:30 pm.
