Pick-Your-Own from Flowers to Apples
Cider Hill Farm is home to an abundance of fruit and flowers that you can pick starting in April and ending in October. Each season offers new options that are ripe and ready to be picked. It’s important to note that certain fruits and flowers may only be available during specific months. Explore when and how to pick-your-own at Cider Hill Farm.
Spring Season
Tulip Cutting
In the spring season (middle of April), we reopen the farm for you to revisit, reconnect, and experience new adventures with family and friends. Our famous Tulip Fest starts at the beginning of May, where you can both tour the beautiful blooming tulips and also cut your own. Tulip picking lasts until mid-May. However, flower lovers can enjoy cutting our farmhouse bouquets all summer long in the Summer Cutting Garden.

Summer Season
Strawberry Picking
Strawberry picking kicks off in early June and wraps up by the end of the month. While the strawberry picking is on the shorter side, you’ll be able to explore our farm’s five strawberry fields. Growing these strawberries takes a lot of hard work (and the fields are rotated every 3 years), but the delicious result makes it worthwhile.
Flower Cutting
At Cider Hill Farm, we offer over 25 varieties of flowers, from zinnias to lisianthus, snapdragons, cosmos, amaranth, millet, carnations, marigolds, strawflowers, celosia, herbs, stock, dahlias, sunflowers, and coneflowers. Our garden opens early to mid-July and closes in mid-September.
Blueberry Picking
As one of the longest fruit-picking seasons at our farm, pick-your-own blueberries starts in early July and ends in September. We have three blueberry fields and 11 varieties that you can choose from. Plus, all of our blueberries are great for freezing.
Blackberry, Cherry & Raspberry Picking
Raspberries and blackberries begin to ripen in summer, so each bite is sweeter, juicier, and more flavorful. Our raspberry picking season begins in late June and ends in late July, while our blackberry season picks up in July and ends in August.
Plus, stay tuned for our pick-your-own cherries! In 2023, we planted 600 cherry trees that will be ready to pick in 2026.
Peach Picking
Our peach trees span about 10 acres with five peach orchards and 20 different varieties of peaches. Peach picking starts in late July and goes until September; while some of our peaches are ready to pick in late July, others reach peak ripeness in late August. Soak in the sunshine as you walk the beautiful orchards and pick from our many peach trees.

Fall Season
Apple Picking
Don’t forget about our famous apples that draw visitors from all over, making it one of the most vibrant and bustling seasons at the farm. Our apple-picking begins in late August and continues through mid-October. The farm has five orchards with over 60 varieties of apples. Some of these apples are perfect for eating and baking, while others are used to make our famous sweet and hard apple cider.
Pumpkin Stand
Nothing welcomes the fall season more than pumpkins! In our fall outdoor pumpkin stand at the farm store, you’ll find a large selection of pumpkins, gourds, specialty pumpkins, corn stalks, and bales of hay to take home. Grab your pumpkin from early-September until mid-October. While our sugar pumpkins are to carve and create jack-o'-lanterns, our assorted gourds are best used for decoration.

Winter Season
Christmas Tree Stand
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree! Our Christmas trees arrive in late November, just before Thanksgiving, in a variety of sizes: 5-6 feet, 7-9 feet, 9-11 feet, and 11-14 feet. You can find our fresh-cut Balsam Fir and Balsam Fraser trees right at the Christmas Tree stand, where we will carefully net and secure the tree for transport. You’ll also find festival holiday wreaths and greens to pick from.
